Counselor/Rashida Fathallah-President of Administrative Prosecution Authority ordered to dismiss the investigations conducted in case no. 58/2016 by APA’s Investment Cases Unit regarding the complaint presented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of an industrial development company based in China against officials at the General Authority for Investment and Free zones (GAFI) due to the lack of communication means with GAFI as foreign investors face difficulties in contacting GAFI which significantly impacts the inflow of foreign investments.
Investigations were conducted by Counselor/Ayman Naguib-Member of Investment Cases Unit as per the instructions of President of APA to achieve plenary justice and shorten the duration of judiciary disputes in order to support the investment climate and resolve disputes promptly and efficiently, consequently the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr rapidly responded and issued immediate instructions to review communication means with investors which are:
1-Direct communication through landline phone and fax numbers, email addresses of GAFI members available on GAFI’s website.
2-GAFI’s Hotline: 16035.
Also a team from GAFI’s employees were commissioned to regularly follow up all the inquiries and requests received and to take instant action concerning them in order to create an appropriate environment for attracting foreign investments, creating job opportunities and monumental investment projects.
